Ms Babita Jha is a highly qualified and experienced advocate with a total experience of 12 years in the legal profession. She completed her LLB from Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, in 2011 and pursued her LLM from Annamalai University from 2018 to 2021. In addition, she holds PG Diploma in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) from Indian Law Institute, Delhi (2016) and Criminology & Forensic Science from Annamalai University (2019). She also obtained an MA in Social Work & Counselling from IGNOU in 2017 and an MA in History from LNM University, Bihar, in 2001.
Since July 2011, Ms Jha has been practising as an independent and associated advocate in various District Courts, the High Court of Delhi, District Consumer Forums, and the Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission of Delhi. She has also worked as a panel advocate for DLSA and North Delhi Municipal Corporation. Since 2016, she has been associated with the Supreme Court as an independent and Associate Advocate.
Besides her legal experience, Ms Jha has also gained valuable experience in other fields. She completed an internship in Observation Home for Boys – II, Sewa Kutir, Mukherjee Nagar, Delhi, for 75 days in 2016 as a student of Social Work & Counseling. She has also worked as a freelance writer for various publications, magazines, newspapers, and blogs. Ms Jha presented a paper at History Congress in 2005 and was a radio presenter for All India Radio, Darbhanga station, Bihar, from 1995 to 1998.
